A playful and interactive retelling of Shakespeare's Macbeth, designed especially for families and young audiences. Combining crafts, puppetry, music and audience participation, MakeBeth transforms the Scottish play into an imaginative cardboard adventure.
MakeBeth is a joyful, hands-on adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth for children aged 7 to 11 and their families. Featuring live music, puppetry and plenty of opportunities to get involved, the production turns one of Shakespeare's most famous tragedies into an engaging and creative theatrical experience.
Audiences are invited to help bring the story to life by making witches, becoming the moving trees of Birnam Wood and even assisting Lady Macbeth with that infamous "damned spot". Using Cardboard Adventures' trademark sustainable cardboard designs, the show encourages imagination and participation throughout.
Created by Cardboard Adventures and Shakespeare's Globe in partnership with Chichester Festival Theatre and Leeds Playhouse, MakeBeth offers an exciting introduction to Shakespeare through crafts, storytelling and play.
