A night of professional stand-up comedy at Creative Innovation Centre CIC in Taunton, featuring four comedians including headline act Meryl O’Rourke, Michael Dott, Sam Michael and MC Dani Johns.
Taunton Comedy Club returns to the Creative Innovation Centre CIC for another evening of professional stand-up comedy.
Brought to you by CICCIC and Genius Events, the team behind Stand Up for Cider, the bi-monthly comedy club brings together established comedians and comedy talent for a lively night in CICCIC’s Memorial Hall.
Headline act Meryl O’Rourke is an acclaimed stand-up comedian and TV writer who has supported Frankie Boyle and written for programmes including Have I Got News for You, Room 101 and Mock the Week.
Middle act Michael Dott is a storytelling comedian originally from Scotland and now based in the Midlands. His comedy combines tall tales with relatable and ridiculous observations. He was nominated for the Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award and Nottingham Comedy Festival Best New Act in 2015.
Opening act Sam Michael has supported comedians including Al Murray, Matt Richardson and Fiona Allen. His comedy turns everyday situations into fast-paced and sometimes absurd stories, while his online material has attracted more than 10 million views.
MC Dani Johns performs at comedy clubs, festivals and live events around the UK and is known for an energetic storytelling style. Dani has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe with the solo show Cringe and appeared in the Best in Class showcase.
