Acclaimed performance company Platform 4 invites audiences on a sonic journey through the Wonderland of Alice, weaving together original music, Lewis Carroll’s text, interviews with residents of the New Forest and the voices of 40 contemporary Alices.
Part homage, part reimagining and part audio adventure, The Alice Project combines a four-piece band of multi-instrumentalist performers with twisting melodies, smiling cats, percussive teacups and surreal storytelling. The production explores themes of transformation, identity and the process of growing older through the familiar world of Wonderland.
Aimed at adults and young people, this is not a traditional family adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, but a creative and imaginative theatrical experience inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic tale.
