Acclaimed folk singer-songwriter and guitarist Jon Wilks brings his distinctive blend of contemporary and traditional folk music to Taunton Brewhouse. Recognised by publications including The Guardian, Uncut and Guitarist magazine, Wilks has become one of the leading voices in modern British folk music.
Jon Wilks is widely recognised as one of the most distinctive songwriters and guitarists on the contemporary folk scene. His work has earned praise from major music publications, with his music regularly celebrated for its songwriting, musicianship and connection to the folk tradition.
This concert features music from his latest album, Needless Alley, released in September 2025. Described as a collection of memories and influences gathered from different stages of his life, the album draws inspiration from artists including Nick Drake, Pentangle and Paul Simon, while remaining rooted in the folk music for which Wilks is best known.
With five solo albums and an EP to his name, Jon continues to build a reputation as one of Britain's most respected folk performers. This intimate performance offers an opportunity to experience his music live in the Studio Theatre.
